  28. Pin 1 should be jumpered to pin31 as you have done, BUT it has to be done 
  29. on the motherboard. Pin 31 on the ROM has to be bent upwards so it's not
  30. connected to the socket. And then a jumper from pin 21 (I think. in the
  31. corner down on the right side) to the bent pin 31. This will feed +5V 
  32. (if I remember right) into pin31 on the ROM why there must be NO
  33. connection to pin 31 in the socket on the MB.

  35. It worked for me. The difference was that I had a extra socket between the
  36. one on the MB and the ROM. And the socket was wired 1 - 31. The wire
  37. between pin 21 and the (bent up) pin 31 was on the ROM.

  39. That's how I did it and it works.
